Artistic Images

After creating some images that look like photographs (shown here) with digital tools  I've become interested in creating more painterly images. Images below are surrealist pictures created with digital tools.

Using 3D modeling software artist has complete freedom in composing the picture and lighting it, and the image can be produced without using messy paints and canvas. Digital artist doesn't need to be trained in drawing, painting, color mixing and so on. People who are not born with ability to draw still have a chance to create their masterpiece. But there are some things still required, among others skills in composition, color harmony and also creative ideas. 

Using such great tool as Corel Painter the image can be given look and feel of painting (oil, pastel, watercolor etc.) if desired. The resulting image can be printed on any size of paper and even on canvas.
The art of creating images using 3D modeling tool is very technical, requires a lot of special skills. At the same time understanding of traditional art is mandatory. I love modern art, my favorite artists are Rene Magritte, Modigliani, Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, Edouard Manet and others.

A strong sense of color, composition, and balance characterize these evocative series of surrealistic, otherworldly images that draw the viewer in to their own special environments. In "Sound of Silence" a lone black, squawking crow sits on a boat in a turquoise lake in primordial landscape that looks not quite earthly. A man in a business suit floats atop pink clouds oblivious to the disaster soon to befall him in "Dream of Flying". For "Survivor", two barren trees in a bizarre moonscape stretch their branches like fingers toward a leaved tree that appears to have been transported from Earth. In these works, the artist allows full access to his unconscious imagination to create scenes that are both painterly and thought-provoking.
